His dictionary is 4 tomes, and he had a mind like a Xerox machine and IBM computer. You can get a sense of Voltaire’s muse by reading: Lycedes, Quellenec, Arodon, Combabus, and especially David. This dictionary was translated into english twice, and I have both editions. If you like Voltaire, you will LOVE Bayle.
