I’ve found Diggers like statistics. I received a great response to my Most Powerful Sites on Digg and the last Most Powerful Members on Digg article, but those were only for a 30 day period (as long as Digg allows a visitor to go back). In another recent article submitted, I had a large number of people requesting a follow-up Most Powerful Member post, and since over a month has past, I’ve sat down and recalculated everything again.
These numbers are analyzing how many articles each top user got to the homepage (and not buried) from April 19th, 2007 to May 19th, 2007… the most powerful users on Digg.
I’ve also gone an additional step in this post and included how many friends each user has. A lot of people speculate one trick to help your articles get to the homepage is to build a large friend-base, and digging each other’s articles whenever one person submits something. That said, if anyone is feeling lonely, I’ll definitely be your friend. 
In the following list, I’ve excluded anyone with less than two articles hitting homepage. In the case of a tie, I ranked users with articles hitting homepage more recently higher.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. It’s interesting how some top users don’t have a lot of friends. Like Alexius only has 12 and he got 51 articles on the front page. Is the count for friends or fans or both?

I’ll be quite surprised if this makes it to the homepage of Digg. Remember the magic algorithm in submitting stories about Digg to Digg:
“Digg”+”Powerful”= Homepage; “Users”+”Powerful”= Buried.
Ever since Digg eliminated the ‘Top Users’ page, most Digg users don’t like to read hierarchical comparisons to other users. It smacks too much of competition, which I suppose is the reason the ‘Top Users’ page was eliminated in the first place. Fascinating and useful data, though.

Congratulations nerds. It would be much more in keeping with the original nature of Digg to focus more on the quality of the stories being Dugg, and less on the prowess of a user to get his story to the front page. Many people use unscrupulous methods just to make their links seen.

This is to Alicia: If you click on a member’s name of the article you are reading, you will see under their avatar, the option to add them as a friend. That is how you can add a friend. If they add you back, then you are mutual friends. Check for the FAQ on the bottom of Digg’s site. I started out with 3 friends, and now have over 70. I haven’t asked anyone to befriend me though - too afraid of being rejected!
The statistics are cool! I can’t believe I’m at #32. Although the article count is off. I’ve actually submitted 16 that have Front Paged. I wonder if that has to do with any of my FP articles being buried? Hmmmm…
